Given my "keep myself out of mischief" daily activity is designing stuff, I figured I should put my skills to good use to try and raise even more cash for the Royal Navy & Royal Marines Charity at GinFest.
So, I am pleased to announce the "GinFest Merch Table". You are invited to bring extra cash to buy such delights as a GinFest mug or a GinFest bottle opener. There will also be the chance to buy an RNRMC tote bag or a notebook (both designed by me).
These wonderful items haven't yet arrived, but as soon as they do I shall put up photos for your delight and delectation.
But, I hear you cry, "What if I am not going to be able to join in the epic event that is GinFest?" Worry not! The GinFest stuff is for sale here and the RNRMC stuff will be on sale on the www.gillianjonesdesigns.com website later this week.
The planning for GinFest 2016 is underway! Thanks to my buddy Emma who sent me a link to a very interesting looking seaweed gin, I have decided the theme for this year will be Coastal Gins.
Last year was all about introducing people to a number of different styles of gin. Hopefully some of you who came will remember something of the evening and, even better, a little about gin! This time I'm zooming in on a subset of a gin - those made by the sea. Gins often have interesting ingredients specific to the are in which they are made. In the case of coastal gins these include scurvy grass, sugar kelp and sea buckthorn berries. And in one rather interesting case, Devon violets!
All that remains is for me to pick the gins and find out what kind of tonic and garnish they need. And you need to buy tickets!
